Newsflash

I am taking a short break from project construction on doctor's orders (although I am accepting new commissions with flexible deadlines). I broke my shoulder in early April and I need to let it heal.

This sewing project went together quickly and easily.  The only modification to the basic pattern was to enlarge the hood, at the client's request, to make it longer.  More under the fold...

The costume is based on Simplicity 4450. (The patten has been retired, but here is a link to an eBay auction ... while it lasts.)

The tunic of this outfit is made from a cotton-poly blend and is machine-washable.  Jedi TunicThe  garment includes a handstitched binding around the front edge and neck, detailing at the shoulders, and a wide belt.  The client opted not to have the shoulder armor also featured in the same pattern.

Jedi Cloak - view 1The cloak is made of a faux suede fabric, also a cotton-poly blend, and is machine-washable.
Jedi Cloak - view 2
It has a extra long sleeves and a deep hood, perfect for hiding under.
