Just completed: this beautiful gold corset, modeled by yours truly.  As you can see, I have significant waist reduction with this corset - 4 inches - and it is not laced completely closed in the back (deliberately).
This was made with very inexpensive fabric, and a combination of steel busk, nickel grommets, and a secret-ingredient boning material.
